Servings: 4
Total time: 25 minutes
1 pound green beans (rinsed, trimmed)
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 ½ cups panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal Coarse California Sea Salt (divided, plus more for serving)
1 teaspoon ground black pepper (divided)
¾ cup all-purpose flour
3 eggs (beaten)
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons red pepper hot sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 clove garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons fresh thyme (for garnish)
Preheat the air-fryer to 400°. Combine Parmesan cheese, panko, smoked paprika, garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper in a small bowl.
Place flour and eggs into 2 separate shallow bowls. Toss green beans in flour. Dip in egg mixture followed by panko mixture.
Working in batches, place green beans in a single layer in the air-fryer. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until crisp and golden-brown.
Meanwhile, whisk together mayonnaise, hot sauce, lemon juice, garlic, remaining salt and pepper in a small bowl. Serve green bean fries with dipping sauce.
