Buffalo Tuna Melt

INGREDIENTS

2 Cans Tuna (drained)

¼ Cup Buffalo sauce

¼ Cup Mayonnaise

1/4 Cup Celery (diced)

1/4 Cup Red onion (diced)

Diamond Crystal Salt Co. Kosher Salt (to taste) 

Black pepper (to taste)

4 Slices Italian bread

4 Slices Cheddar cheese

2 Tbsp Butter 

DIRECTIONS

In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, Buffalo sauce, mayonnaise, celery, and red onion, season with Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt, and pepper to taste. Set aside. 

Next, place a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once the butter is melted, place two slices of bread in the skillet, and add a slice of cheddar cheese to each slice of bread. Spoon 1/4 of the tuna mixture on top of the cheese on one slice of bread, and then top it with the other slice of bread, cheese-side down.

Use a spatula to press down the sandwich slightly. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown on one side.

Use a spatula to carefully flip the sandwich over and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove the sandwich from the skillet and repeat the process for the remaining sandwiches. Slice the sandwiches in half if desired and serve hot.
