Homemade Sea Salt Ice Cream

INGREDIENTS

14 Ounces sweetened condensed milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract, or vanilla bean paste

Diamond Crystal Sea Salt (to taste)

2 Cups heavy whipping cream, chilled

Cashews 100g

Optional: Passion fruit syrup (or syrup of choice) 

DIRECTIONS

In a medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and Diamond Crystal Sea salt to taste. Mix until combined and set aside.

With an electric mixer on high speed, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Once peaks are present add the sweetened condensed milk mixture to the whipped cream. Carefully fold it together with a rubber spatula until no streaks remain.

Once well combined, pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer safe container and spread evenly with a rubber spatula. Optionally, add passion fruit syrup or any flavored syrup of your choice and top with crushed cashews. Cover with the container lid or plastic wrap and place in the freezer for at least 5 hours.

After 5 hours, remove the ice cream from the freezer and allow it to stand 5 minutes prior to serving to allow it to soften slightly. Serve in a sugar cone or small bowl and enjoy!
